Shipping Policy


SHIPPING POLICY

To ensure that our chocolates arrive at their destination in the same shape that they leave our facility, we use insulated boxes and gel packs during most of the year to prevent them from melting. During the cooler months, the chocolates can generally be shipped via ground or 2nd day air for minimal expense. During warmer months, the chocolates will more than likely need to be shipped via overnight or 2nd day air. Please note that ground can take 2-5 days for delivery. There is an additional charge of $6.00 for warm weather handling surcharge for special packaging materials to insure your delivery arrives in perfect condition.

FedEx does not ship to P.O. boxes so we will need a street address to deliver a package. If there is a suite number, apartment number, or building number, please include that on the order form. We cannot be held responsible for packages that are undeliverable due to wrong address or missing information. We highly recommend that someone be home to accept the package or it is shipped to a workplace or office. If you are shipping to a warm climate and the recipient is not home, the chocolates will not be able to last another day of being on the FedEx delivery vehicle, so it is best to make sure the recipient knows that they are on the way. The insulated boxes will protect the chocolates if they are out for a few hours on a doorstep. When in doubt, we recommend not shipping the chocolates. We are also unable to ship to destinations outside of the United States. Orders going to Alaska and Hawaii will have additional shipping charges applied.

Please note that all pricing is subject to change, depending on time of year as well as weight and location.

We will not be held responsible for delays caused by weather, mechanical failure or other acts beyond our control.

ORDERING INFORMATION

We ship all of our chocolates Monday through Wednesday and sometimes on Thursdays via Overnight. Due to the perishability and delicate nature or our products, we don’t allow more than 2 days of transit time. We will never ship a package over the weekend, where it would sit in a FedEx warehouse over the weekend. Orders are shipped in the order they are received and usually ship within 24 to 48 hours of being received, unless otherwise specified. Please keep in mind if you order Thursday or Friday via 2nd day air, your order will not ship until the following Monday. If you need special shipping instructions, such as Saturday delivery, or a specified delivery date, there is a "shipping intructions" box on the order review page that you can specify this information. Also, feel free to call us at 858-592-0570 and we will do whatever we can to accommodate your request.
We guarantee that the chocolates will leave our facility in peak condition. If you are unsatisfied with your products we will gladly refund your purchase price, not including shipping charges.

PRICING

Shipping charges depend on weight, time of year (temperature) and destination. During the order process you will be able to view shipping options for your location and your particular order.

California sales tax of 7.75% is added to orders shipped to a California address.

Bon Bon Chocolate guarantees satisfaction. We will exchange or refund any purchase you're not totally happy with. Simply return the remainder of the chocolates within 7 days.
